The Benefit Auction for Ukraine on the clocks of Royal FloraHolland on 14 March yielded more than 165,000 euros. Last week, various growers already auctioned flowers and plants worth more than 41,000 euros for Giro555 on their own initiative. In addition to a contribution in the form of transaction costs from growers and buyers worth more than 14,000 euros, Royal FloraHolland has supplemented the total amount to 250,000 euros. This represents a widely supported action by the floriculture sector for Giro555.

697 lots have been auctioned, spread over 361 trolleys. The auction took place at all four auction locations: Aalsmeer, Naaldwijk, Rijnsburg and Eelde.

Good prices

Flowers and plants offer joy and comfort. Giro555 will use the financial contribution from Floriculture for food, shelter and other emergency aid. After the announcement of the Benefit Auction on Thursday 10 March, the first carts were immediately registered. Until the last moment, growers have registered their flowers and plants for auction for the people of Ukraine. The auction that took place at 7:10 am really had the character of a benefit auction. Auctioneers have sold the products with enthusiasm. Many buyers also showed their best side by paying good prices.
