Royal FloraHolland makes retail conditions available via Floriday
February 20, 2025

The opportunity to agree alternative retail terms with each other has been something growers and buyers on Floriday have requested. This demand comes mainly from parties doing retail trading. Royal FloraHolland has recently been working on a set of Retail terms and conditions that complement and replace some clauses of the Floriday general terms and conditions. These additional terms and conditions are available through Floriday from today. Read how you can use these Retail terms.
Lever for agreements in retail
The Retail Terms provide a lever to enter into a more balanced agreement between growers and exporters or to use as a starting point for contract negotiations between the two. The Retail Conditions provide more scope for setting retail requirements such as delivery, product packaging and time of delivery. To give you a better idea of things that differ from Floriday's general terms and conditions, please see in outline summary below a brief overview:
- Complaint period extended from 24 to 48 hours
- Seller complaint period extended to 72 hours
- Damage compensation from 12% to 25%
- Do you have FSI standard certification? Then there will be no additional requirements from the buyer
ERP package
Do you work using a contracts module in your own ERP? Then you can also use the Retail terms and conditions. To do this, you do need to go to the Floriday screens and/or check the box in the contract in Floriday. You can also download the Retail terms and conditions and upload them into your own software package.
General terms and conditions
To allow the Retail terms to apply to your purchase agreement within the contract module, Royal FloraHolland has amended article 1.5 of the Floriday general terms and conditions and rearranged them.
