The Members' Council approved the 2025 rates for members on Thursday 12 December 2024. Every day, growers, buyers and Royal FloraHolland strive to obtain the best possible prices for flowers and plants. Cost control remains a major challenge for the entire sector as we have not yet fully succeeded in offsetting rising costs with improved returns.
Key changes to rates for 2025
The rate increases will be limited in 2025, however, the impact may vary for each member. The key changes at a glance:
The fixed contribution will remain the same. The variable contribution will rise slightly to 0.625%. The maximum turnover will increase to €1,150,000; this was €1,100,000 in 2024.
2. Member packs
Transaction rates for the Direct Focus, Direct Flex and Auction Flex packs will remain the same as 2024. For the Auction Focus pack, a rate of 3.2% of the value of auction clock transactions, 3.4% for Auction Presales transactions, and 2% for direct transactions will apply from 1 January 2025.
The following applies to Auction Focus members from 1 January 2025:
- certification in accordance with FSI requirements deferred until 1 January 2027. However, the final date depends on when the certification scheme for small-scale growers becomes available.
- reimbursement of €250 for the costs of certification in accordance with FSI requirements for a turnover of up to €250,000. This sum will be paid out at the end of the year following certification.
- the ability to showcase novelties free of charge at our in-house trade fairs and IPM Essen
Direct contact with auction and quality inspectors and additional support with the use of Floriday will continue to be available as part of the Auction Focus pack.
More information on mandatory certification and what this means for growers with a turnover of up to €250,000 using our platform can be found on the website.
3. Adjustment of graduated scales for volume discountThe graduated scales for volume discount will be adjusted to: €2.2 to €4.4 million, €4.4 to €13.2 million and €13.2+ million for each member pack in 2025. This adjustment means the effect of the volume discount will remain cost-neutral for Royal FloraHolland in 2025 compared to 2024. We will discuss the sustainability of the volume discount with members in 2025.
4. Indexation of rates for logistics services and supplies
The rates for logistics services and supplies will increase by an average of 4% in line with inflation. We are following the DPI index as far as possible in this regard. The direct trolley levy will be €3.29 per trolley and the auction lot levy will be €2.04 per lot. As from 1 January 2025, we will also be introducing different rates for refrigerated and non-refrigerated storage of clock supply. Going forward, the trolley levy per auction trolley will be €13.02 for refrigerated storage and €11.83 for non-refrigerated storage. You can download the comprehensive 2025 rate card for logistics services and resources from the website.
Revised rate structure
During the course of 2025, we aim to review our rate structure in collaboration with members and buyers, taking into account the interests of members and Royal FloraHolland as a company and cooperative. Further information will follow later.
