Action plan Peak 2025:
During last years' peak, we gained valuable experience with additional measures associated with (unexpected) crowding. Those were to help deliver reliable logistics performance. Based on that experience and the forecasts (volume, employees) for spring 2025, we again made a peak action plan. With targeted actions, we can respond flexibly to crowds when needed. Especially now that we supply (or to deliver) in various time slots at hubs where we pick orders. This allows you as a purchaser/ buyer to choose which purchases you want to have later (or sooner), instead of us determining that for you. Because of the spread that is created, peak actions that affect everyone (such as auctioning in higher volumes) will be less and less necessary in the long run.
Accelerated start for flowers, final push for plants
Since last year, we start on the busy days with maximum staffing at flowers to supply (or to deliver) there on time. As soon as we reach the end time for flowers, we move more of our people to plants, so on most days we finish before 2 p.m. as well. Even though the end times plants are sometimes later than usual, you do know what you can count on. So keep a close eye on the start and end times on the website and in the RFH news app.

Time slot delivery on order pick hubs
At the hubs where we pick orders, we deliver purchases at the time slot of your choice. This applies both to the regular process and to faster-than/outside-time delivery (Select Delivery). Can we supply (or to deliver) some of your purchases later? Then use the advantageous peak period. That helps us meet the end times of the regular time slots (before 12:00). On the busiest days this may not be possible, in which case you will receive notice from us no later than one week in advance. We then share the expected run-out, and bid options. This way you can contact us if you really run into problems with later delivery times.
Early auction days
Auctioning an hour earlier on the busiest days means auction clocks and our logistics process start earlier. This gives you the opportunity to deliver your transactions to buyers earlier on a busy auction day. That's a nice message for your customers.

Sufficient transport packaging
For smooth supply and processing of flowers and plants, adequate packaging, CCs and (auction) trolleys are a prerequisite. Logistics means are worth their weight in gold. We ensure that they are sufficiently available, even in busy times. It is our joint responsibility to also use the equipment as it is supposed to be used and, partly as a result, promote throughput. This is how we make success together.
